vielen Dank schonmal für Deine Antwort. Soweit ich die Werte, die mir smartctl ausspuckt, deuten kann, hat die Festplatte genau 5 Sektoren neu zugewiesen. Allerdings komm ich mit den Werten nicht so ganz klar, was genau heißt in diesem Zusammenhang denn "VALUE", "WORST", "THRESHOLD" und "RAW_VALUE"? Auch auf der Page hab ich da keine passende Doku gefunden.
Was die mutwillige Zerstörung betrifft, ich hab auch schon an die brutale Variante gedacht. Wenn man aber bissl durch die Gegend surft, stellt man leicht fest, dass Free- und Sharewareprogrammierer schon zig Daten direkt von der Platte abrufen können, da möcht ich lieber nicht wissen, an welche Daten der Hersteller noch so rankommt.
So wie es aussieht, hatte die Platte ja eindeutig einen Defekt (sonst wären ja keine Sektoren ge-reallocated). Auch die unteren Einträge sprechen ja eindeutig dafür. Zwar ist die Platte momentan verewndbar, aber wenn das erstmal losgeht mit defekten Sektoren, ist es ja normalerweise nur noch eine Frage der Zeit, bis die restlichen Sektoren auch hops gehen, also werd ich den Umtausch wohl mal versuchen.
Was mich nur wundert: Starte ich smartctl mit dem Parameter -H, meldet die Platte ein fröhliches
