Kris> i understand where you're coming from, but if you actually read the topic on 205GTIDrivers.com,
you'd know there's nothing to be sorry for. the car had been involved in various forms of racing for the
whole 4 seasons and had sustained a lot of bodywork damage so it was acutally a perfect candidate
for such a project... which is all about straight line speed anyway (drag racing).

and as it happens, i've got a completely standard 205 GTI 1.9 (sitting on Ronal R10 Turbo currently though)
that i plan on rebuilding (and uprating what matters) after Mi32 is finished and a rather standard 405 T16.

it's great you guys here are like that - we on the 205GTIDrivers.com forum are also all for original
impression (but uprated underneath).

also, the "construction" is how the welder guy made it so he took the chances, but i must say that,
believe it or not, it was actually rock-solid.

(in germany you will be stoned to death by tüv or dekra because there is no way to get it street-legal )

ok people, here's an update .


previously we've seen the 205 developing a hole in the boot:




in this episode the hole gets transformed into suspension turrets and we have a guest star appearance too (me ).

stimmt ohne hinterachse und so kann man die ohne probs hinten anheben ^^



hmmm sieht etwas tief aus mit dem blech hinten bin mal gespannt.....

auf jeden fall sehr interessant und warscheinlich ne recht einfache wenn auch nicht ideale geschweige denn tüv gerechte lösung ^^

why did you cut off the engine mounting point?

well i can only say:
YOU GUYS ARE INSANE!

but in a good way

i guess overall it wont be the problem to get the engine in after the success with the weld in frame in the back.

the first thing i worry about at this time is how to get those engines working synchronously.
and where to put the fuel cell since most of the rear seats space is cut out (and filled with engine if you have success over all)

Hallo auch von mir nach langer Zeit.

Nun der Typ, der das ganze realisiert hat, ist mein guter Freund ). Ich habe das ganze Vorhaben mehr oder weniger mitverfolgt.

Ihr könnt schreiben was ihr wollt, schade ums Auto, bla bla bla. Fakt ist, dass so etwas noch keiner hat und ich verneige mich vor ihm und vor allem der umgesetzten Idee!

Ich darf stolz behaupten, dass ich einer von dreien bin, die in diesem Monster schon saßen UND in ihm gefahren sind:)))) Die anderen zwei sind Nikica und sein Vater:).

Nun, Gefühle und Erlebtes lassen sich mit Worten immer schlecht erklären, aber das, was ich an jenem Tag erlebt und gespürt hatte, übersteigt alles was so ein Normalsterblicher täglich erlebt!!!:),

Das Ding beschleunigt im 3. wie mein 405mi16 vielleicht im 1.! WAHNSINN! Könnt ihr euch vorstellen einen Mi hinter dem Kopf schreien zu hören!? Ohne irgendwelche Isolation oder Ähnliches:)) Echt, die beschleunigung ist wirklich brachial! Ich habe gezittert als ich ausgestiegen bin, als hätte ich Parkinson oder sonst was.

Verfolgt die Updates, da kommen noch einige schöne Videos!
