you'd know there's nothing to be sorry for. the car had been involved in various forms of racing for the
whole 4 seasons and had sustained a lot of bodywork damage so it was acutally a perfect candidate
for such a project... which is all about straight line speed anyway (drag racing).
and as it happens, i've got a completely standard 205 GTI 1.9 (sitting on Ronal R10 Turbo currently though)
that i plan on rebuilding (and uprating what matters) after Mi32 is finished and a rather standard 405 T16.
it's great you guys here are like that - we on the 205GTIDrivers.com forum are also all for original
impression (but uprated underneath).

also, the "construction" is how the welder guy made it so he took the chances, but i must say that,
believe it or not, it was actually rock-solid.
